Welcome to Blender Guru 2.0!
I recently sent out
a survey, asking you how this site could be improved, and it received well over 2,000 responses. Well I’ve listened to what you wrote and have created this design that you are looking at right now
Here’s the new site in a nutshell:
Some of the features of the new site:
- Cleaner – The homepage features a simple slider at the top and easy to see thumbnails underneath. Less words, more pictures.
- Tutorial focused – Only tutorials appear on the homepage. Blog posts, focused critiques and products are now in separate categories.
- Video box – The video for each tutorial is now conveniently at the top of the page. It also lists the blender version, length and difficulty of the tutorial.
- Ratings – You can now rate each tutorial out of 5 stars.
- Popular Tutorials – The homepage and sidebar gives you access to the most popular tutorials on the site. This gives you access to older tutorials.
- Nested comments – No more confusion in the comment section! You can now reply directly to other people’s comments.
Features to come soon:
- Community Tutorials – Soon you will be able to submit your own tutorials for showing on the site.
- Forum – A fully integrated forum for discussing tutorials, sharing your results and communicating with other readers.
